Projects: finding work, proposals, contracts
In this article
Finding projects
Open "Find projects". Buyers post projects with a fixed price, a description, skills and a deadline. Check daily and answer the ones that match your specialty. Each project page shows the buyer's budget and rating.
Writing a proposal
On a project press "Submit a proposal", then fill in:
- "Bid amount (IQD)": your total price, 5,000 IQD or more. The most Kaasb accepts is twice the buyer's budget; the form shows the limit.
- "Estimated duration": for example "2 weeks".
- "Cover letter": at least 50 characters. Explain why you fit this project: show you read it, mention a similar piece you did, ask one useful question. Copy-paste letters lose.
- "Portfolio / samples (optional)": up to 5 files.
Press "Submit proposal". Rules: one proposal per project; you cannot bid on your own project; contact details in the letter are refused, and files are scanned too. Track everything in "My proposals" (Pending, Shortlisted, Accepted, Rejected, Withdrawn). You can edit a pending proposal. You can withdraw a pending or shortlisted one, but you cannot resubmit it after withdrawing.
Contract and milestones
When the buyer accepts your proposal, a contract is created. It has one milestone for the whole amount by default; the buyer may split it into milestones (each at least 5,000 IQD).
- The buyer funds the milestone into escrow. Do not start unfunded work. You can ask for payment only on fully funded milestones.
- Press "Start" on the milestone, do the work, then press "Submit". Add a delivery note and files, and press "Submit for review".
- The buyer chooses "Approve & pay" (released to your balance) or "Request revision" (you fix it and submit again).
- If the buyer does not review it, the milestone is approved automatically 10 days after you submitted it.
- A contract nobody funds is closed automatically: a reminder after 7 days, closed after 14.
Open dispute is available to you on a funded milestone (section 10).
