What Kaasb is and how your money is protected

Kaasb is a freelance marketplace built for Iraq. You hire Iraqi freelancers, called sellers, for design, writing, translation, programming, video and more. Everything is priced and paid in Iraqi dinars (IQD). Kaasb is Arabic first, with English, on the website and in the Android app.

Escrow in plain words

Escrow is a safe middle hand. When you pay:

  1. Your money goes to Kaasb, not to the seller.
  2. The seller sees that the order is paid, so they know it is safe to start.
  3. The seller delivers and you look at the work.
  4. When you press Accept, Kaasb releases the money to the seller. (Kaasb's 10% fee is taken from the seller's side, not added to your price.)
  5. If the work is not what was agreed, you can ask for a revision, ask to cancel, or report a problem. The money stays frozen while Kaasb looks at it.

The seller gets nothing before you accept, with one exception: if you stay silent, a service order completes by itself 3 days after delivery. (Project milestones: 10 days, see section 3.)

What you pay

  • You pay the listed price only. Kaasb adds no buyer fee. Checkout says so: "You pay the listed price only — no extra fees from Kaasb."
  • If your card is in another currency, your own bank may add a conversion fee. Kaasb charges only in IQD and never converts.
  • Creating an account, browsing and posting projects are free.
